The AMEA Sports Ecosystem Awards (ASEA) was created with the vision to acknowledge the growing professionalism and sports excellence by recognizing and celebrating exceptional key players that are backbone of the sporting ecosystem.

By celebrating their achievements and sharing their industry career stories, the awards will create a generation of role models to inspire future talent and business success – right from grassroots level those working with young children in schools’ sports, community sports to the boardroom.

For many years the continent of Africa, Middle-East and Asia (AMEA) countries jointly has never celebrated the immense work being done behind-the-scenes in the sporting ecosystem, honouring governments Ministries of sports and youth – Ministries of Education, Local authorities, Corporate sponsors, Women in sport, Media agency, Journalist, Sports development organisations, NGOs supporting Sports for development, Sports diplomacy, Sports tourism, Clubs, teams, Sports marketing agencies and Innovators that ensure the sports sector continues to move forward henceforth, ASEA will acknowledge and celebrate the growing professionalism and sports excellence in Africa, the Middle-East and Asia (AMEA) countries together where the sports industry has established itself as commercial entity with the potential of generating an estimated annual revenue of over US$2 billion.

ASEA PROGRAMME SYNOPSIS:

ASEA is an annual event hosted in AMEA countries with the 1st and 2nd Editions, 2022 & 2023 hosted in Africa; the 3rd & 4th Editions, 2024 & 2025 hosted in Middle-East; and the 5th & 6th Editions, 2026 & 2027 hosted in Asia; while the 7th and 8th Editions, 2027 & 2028 will be hosted in the Middle-East, and the 9th and 10th Editions, 2029 & 2030 will be hosted in Africa.

While we can’t gather all the audience and strategic stakeholders’ in person this year during ASEA 1st edition it will not stop us highlighting the incredible work this brilliant and resilient sports sector produces therefore will be broadcasting the awards virtually via live streaming on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

Through ASEA, we will be showcasing what have been achieved by the sports ecosystem key players celebrating their collective accomplishments for the period of January to November every year starting 2022.

ASEA SPORTS LEGENDS AWARDS SECTION:

The Sports legends will be inducted into ASEA HALL OF FAME with up to 15 Female and 15 Male inducted.
